I have unchecked the notifications from Facebook in Notification Center, and even took Facebook out.
I still get notifications from Facebook, about twenty per hour.
Why doesn't turning them off in Notification center work?

I signed up on this forum, just to ask this question. It has been really bothering me for some time. I dont even use Facebook and I keep getting these popup notifications. I have been to the Preferences > Internet Accounts and there is not a Facebook account created. I hope we get an answer to this!
